Community Policing Unit & Juvenile Aid Bureau
The Community Policing Unit, formerly the Juvenile Aid Bureau and Crime Prevention Unit, is made up of a Sergeant, a Detective, Neighborhood Enhancement Officers, a Too Good For Drugs Program Coordinator, and a bike patrol officer during the warmer months.

Crime Scene Unit
The Crime Scene Unit is responsible for all crime scenes in the City of Middletown. The Crime Scene Unit is also responsible for processing and maintaining all evidence recovered by all members of the Middletown Police Department.

Detective Division
The Detective Bureau is responsible for the investigation of reported criminal offenses, evidence collection, and other crime scene matters.

K-9 Unit
The K-9 unit supports patrol and investigative functions including criminal apprehension, evidence detection, tracking suspects or lost persons, building searches, crowd control, narcotics detection and for promoting favorable public relations.

Narcotics Unit
It shall be the objective of the Narcotics Unit to target any and all instances of drug sales, manufacture or possession and to prosecute persons engaged in these activities to the fullest extent of law.

Patrol Division
The patrol division is responsible to protect and preserve life and property in our community.

Records Division
The Records Division is responsible for the filing and maintenance of all police records. The members of the division conduct record checks and issue handicap permits.

Too Good for Drugs Program
Too Good for Drugs teaches the fundamental elements of social and emotional learning through developmentally appropriate activities that set the foundation for a healthy adolescence.
